About AI Translator

AI Translator is an iPhone app made by Logic Fusion. It helps people talk, read and get things done in a language they don’t speak: on a trip, after a move abroad, or with family and colleagues who speak another language.

What the app does

  • Dialog: a two-person conversation on one phone, each side in its own language.
  • Realtime: continuous live translation while someone is speaking.
  • Camera: translation of menus, signs, letters and labels from a photo.
  • Phrase Book: ready phrases for the bank, pharmacy, hotel, transport, shopping, and law and taxes. Free to use.
  • Headphones: in Dialog, hear the other person translated in your AirPods while your replies play from the speaker, with a button for each side (Tap & Talk) or one mic that tells the speakers apart (Hands-free).
  • Add File: translation of PDF documents.
  • AI Text Style: the same translation in a Standard, Casual, Slang, Business or Formal tone.
  • Offline text translation: with a subscription, download languages and translate typed text without a connection.
  • Widgets: Camera, Dialog, Realtime and saved phrases on the Home Screen and Lock Screen.

The app translates between 98 languages by text and voice. With a subscription, 57 of them can be downloaded for offline text translation; the camera reads text in 55 Latin-script languages, and the app itself is available in 15 interface languages.

Who it is for

We built AI Translator for the moments when a translator has to work on the first try: a taxi driver who is waiting, a pharmacist who is explaining a dosage, a landlord on the phone, a menu in a language you have never seen. That is why the app puts conversation first. Dialog lets two people take turns on one phone, Realtime follows someone who keeps talking, Headphones mode keeps the translation in your ears, and the large text on screen can simply be shown to the other person.
